TASTE OF NEPAL

TON about

TASTE OF

NEPAL

Who are the Gurkhas

Gurkhas are noble and respected Nepalese soldiers who are specially selected to serve in a unit of the British Army. They are known for being as brave in combat as they are good-natured in their everyday life. Each Gurkha carries two khukuri knives, one for every-day use and one for ceremonial purposes. Their famous war cry, “Ayo Gorkhali” translates as “The Gurkhas are here”. Their motto, 'Kaphar hunnu bhanda marnu ramro' means, 'It is better to die than to live like a coward’.

Join the Snowland team for an exclusive weekend of culture, talks, fun activities, film screening, and great conversations around the campfire.

Enjoy an immersive weekend trying out new experiences, learning some new culinary skills and finding out how we prepare the young people for their journey home.

Stimulate all your senses as you immerse yourself in Nepali culture and feel nature all around you soothing your soul.
